This was the beginning of a series of figurative paintings that ultimately led to a series on Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked This Way Comes." Perhaps it was the pandemic and isolation that led to the feeling that there was a decline of our way of life that spurred this feeling of listlessness in the painting.
