Every time I go out for dinner at a Chinese restaurant I am fascinated about the style and interiors; there is always red, there is always gold, there are always mirror and quirky little statues of cats. The Chinese restaurant culture in The Netherlands is unfortunately slowly dying off as the next generation is not so much interested in running their parents' (or grandparents') businesses. This painting grasps the atmosphere of a classic 'Chin. Ind.' restaurant.
