This Linoprint is part of a series of still life images which I am slowly beginning to branch out in. I am particularly inspired by Mary Fedden's work when I produce these still life prints, but I also love the graphic nature of Lino which gives the overall image a very contemporary look.
This is a linocut printed with chine colle', ma technique whereby hand painted tissue paper is collaged onto the cartridge before printing the Lino on the top. It's a beautiful way to add vivid colour swatches to what can be a stark black and white image.
