Medium-sized motley beetle, 9-15 mm long. The body is black-blue, blue-green or purple, the head and pronotum are sometimes dark green with a golden sheen. Each elytron with four dark yellow spots, the same spots are on the sides of the chest and below on the abdomen. Apices of elytra with deep elliptical emargination. Fore tibia of male straight, notched, without teeth.
The species is confined to the coniferous forests of the taiga zone, occasionally lives in mixed forests. The larvae develop in the trunks of weakened coniferous trees. Adult beetles are thermophilic, fly well, and are found on trunks.
Distribution: Central and Northern Europe, east to Western Siberia.

Details: The painting was made on canvas stretched over cardboard and painted with mother-of-pearl acrylic paints. Decorated in a red-brown and gold frame, it can be immediately placed on the wall or on the table. The painting will be gift wrapped. Each work is signed on the back. The painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Shipment details: Supplied in a cardboard box. The painting is covered with acid-free glassine paper, wrapped in bubble wrap, sealed in plastic, sandwiched between two pieces of foam or corrugated cardboard shipping inserts and placed in a strong shipping box.
