A woman cradles a little bit of the brightness that lies on the distant horizon in an otherwise grey day. I wanted to get across the idea of positivity and hope because although the scene was grey, it was by no means dull.
This image ws inspired by seeing a line of trees with a very pale evening sky behind them, to the south west, as I drove home from Lincoln.
Watercolour in white, burnt sienna and blue, with Caran d'Ache pencil highlights, on grey Khadi paper.
Size: A3
Khadi handmade cotton rag paper from India - 210 gsm paper with a deckled edge.
Posted flat with a certificate of authenticity, wrapped in tissue, in a reinforced envelope, sent by Tracked Postage.
