In my works, I conduct a study of my national self-identification, referring to the style of Petrikovkovskaya folk decorative painting. I also explore the effect of color and peaceful subject matter on the viewer. I like to think that the bright juicy colors of flowers and the gentle lightness of birds delight the viewer's eyes.
style that I use in my work - Petrykivka painting - is a traditional Ukrainian decorative painting style. In 2012, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine recognized Petrykivka painting as a part of the intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine, and it was included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2013. Petrykivka painting has become a "brand" in Ukrainian popular culture
