Artist's description:

A remote island just off the coast of Jura, a much larger island on the west coast of Scotland is the setting for this watercolour.
I actually painted this one on a boat. That's the great thing about watercolour, it's light and easy to carry and doesn't make too much mess!
The reason it's called "Black goat island" is because while we were ashore on this tiny island, we left our dinghy on a rocky outcrop while we wandered around. Meanwhile a group of black goats appeared and became quite annoyed because we had cut off their route with our dinghy.
It was really funny at the time so I made a painting once the goats were sorted out!
It's a loosely painted watercolour with a bit of ink drawing.
