Artist's description:

Ordesa Valley, Spanish Pyrenees, July 2012.

A beautiful beech wood in the Ordesa Valley, Spanish Pyrenees. The mountain sunlight was illuminating the tree canopy with a green glow which contrasts nicely with the orange/brown woodland floor.

I make my prints using  a cotton-based watercolour paper that emphasises the subtle colours and textures of the grasses, bark and other natural elements in the scene.  The frame is a glassless wooden "floatframe". There is a small space around the mounted print which makes the print appear to "float" within the frame.

Materials used:

100% cotton mould-made textured "watercolour" paper.
