This is an original encaustic (beeswax) monotype on archival blue Japanese hemp printmaking paper with dry earth pigments which create the speckling. Sparkling with silver and pearl iridescent paint this abstract seascape has a pronounced shagreen texture. Romantic and mysterious, this artwork shows the rhythm of my hand gestures while creating it.
This is a one-of-a-kind hand-pulled monotype print mounted on a white cradled panel, signed on the back and ready to hang.
