Original artwork description:

This is an original encaustic painting on a cradled birch panel. There are many flowing layers of blue in this translucent and fluid abstract landscape including shimmering iridescent pearl. The surface has been buffed to a high gloss. Inspired by the Arthurian legend.

There are a few other paintings of the same size in my shop that would work well with this one displayed together in a group, one over the other.

Signed and dated on the back and wired for hanging. This painting has clean birch sides and does not need to be framed which is customary for encaustic work.

This unique painting will be insured for full value and professionally packed and shipped within 2 business days from the date payment is received unless otherwise notified.

Joni Gruber earned her BFA in Drawing and Painting from The Ohio State University. Her paintings, monotype fine art prints, mixed media and photographic work have been widely exhibited in solo and group shows across the US, including Global Warming is REAL at the Museum of Encaustic Art in 2017 and B14, the biennial exhibition at the Wiregrass Museum of Art in 2014. She was featured in Studio Visit, Volume 26, 2014. Her work is in the collections of the Museum of Encaustic Art in Santa Fe, NM and the The Hyde Bridge Gallery, Yeats Memorial Building located in Sligo, Ireland.
