Artist's description:

A contemporary acrylic painting by Jamie Sugg Fine Art.

Inspired by the small lode (a man-made waterway found in the Fens which helps to drain the farmland and remove surface water, preventing flooding) which runs around the north fields of the farm where we live in East Cambridgeshire, this small painting reflects the Autumnal trees and land found during October and November. A gentle breeze blows across the land, rustling the remaining leaves on the trees which by now are hard and dry and ready to fall. The stream quietly flows past; if you're lucky (and prepared to wait!) you can catch a glimpse of a Kingfisher darting around the corner of the lode in search of food.

Painted using Liquitex Heavy Body acrylic paints on a 20cm square cotton canvas board, the painting is framed in an 85mm painted grain reverse step white frame, ready to hang.
