Navy Blue and Cream Impressionist Art

When waves meet sand, when water meets sky, dreams are made. Stand at the edge of the sea and really look at the colours you see. Gold, silver, pastel and navy blue to almost black. This dreamy impressionist style image is one that will take you to distant places.

Created using advanced photography techniques, I move the camera when I take the images. I work to bring out the colours that intensify the emotional connection I made when viewing the scene.

The canvas is signed, titled and numbered on the front. It has a 2 inch white border for the framer to use to stretch around the frame. Made on Orkney Mainland where the waves roll in and the sense of history under your feet is so strong you may hear echoes of the people who lived there over the millennia.

I photograph and print every image, I do not outsource any part of my workflow. Each canvas has been painstakingly crafted to ensure the true colours, resolution and texture are exactly as they should be.
