Artwork description:

Ash dieback is a serious fungal disease of ash trees. It is highly destructive and is causing vast numbers to be felled in the UK woodlands. I wanted to simply produce an image of an ash tree in recognition of their sad plight.

The method used for this image is etching on a copper plate with hard ground and aquatint.

Materials used:

Oil-based printing ink and Somerset Satin paper
