Original artwork description:
As evening falls, the shadows from the poplar trees grow longer and there is a soft yellow glow that touches the tips of the trees and the grasses. Colours in the shade become muted there is a sense of calm. This is a typical scene in Zeeland, Netherlands, painted in early summer with the new crops just starting to sprout suggesting that there will be a good harvest this year. I just managed to finish the painting, which was painted on site, before the light and colour faded completely and it was time to retire indoors.
"As Evening Falls..." was painted en plein air in the polders near Oostburg in Zeeland, Netherlands using Hahnmühle 600g mould-made paper and Windor and Newton watercolour paints. It comes mounted to fit a frame of 50x40cm and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

650g mould-made cotton rag watercolour paper, Windsor and Newton watercolour paints
