A strong line drawing of a crouching pose. Called Anura as the pose is amphibian.
Like many of the old masters, paper has been used on both side. The reverse of the piece also has a drawing. The verso has flowing lines of the model standing and moving. Does not show through to other side.
Hard black conte pastel makes the lovely flowing lines when using the edge. Created on a green sugar paper 30 x 42 cm (12 x 16").
Mounting/Mat Suggestion: An image is included of how the piece could look if float-mounted or put behind mountboard(s) [in the US known as mats] before framing. With careful handling you could switch to the alternative side every once in a while two different mount/mat window sizes may be required).
It will either be rolled for delivery (glassine inside to protect the drawing) or wrapped in glassine and sandwiched in window cardboard (so the pastel is not smudged) depending on where it is being sent to.
