This classic image brings sophistication and nostalgic vibes. Shot in near to Richard's home in the Fens, unusually for Richard this is a staged photograph. It is typical of Richard's portrait style whereby you can project your own person onto 'Anita', many think of a family member when they were a child in the back seat of a car. A view of the Fens from a Car with Wings was a autobiographical journey on the roads of his childhood.

This artwork featured in Richard Heeps 2018-2019 exhibition WEMEN at Nhow Hotel Milan as well as the exhibition A View of the Fens from the Car with Wings that toured a number of UK Galleries and Museums.

This artwork is a limited edition of 50, gloss photographic print from negative, accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

Richard Heeps’ seductive, highly saturated colours and sophisticated pictorial structures demonstrate a true love and empathy for his subject matter – be it cool, descriptive interiors, still life, portrait or landscape. His distinctive style pushes the limits of lens-based photography without the need for digital manipulation. He runs his own darkrooms in Cambridge (UK) where he hand prints his colour photography. His work has been exhibited in Museums and Public Galleries around England and he has participated in Art Fairs around the world and his work is now part of many international collections.
