Original artwork description:

This painting is part of a series "Nahuatl Spirits," in which I embark on a creative journey that intertwines the ethereal world of Mesoamerican flora and fauna, drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of Nahuatl names assigned to these beings. Each faded painting serves as a portal, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in a realm where the spirits of animals and plants converge.

In the delicate strokes and muted hues, the essence of creatures such as the
"Cuetzpalin" (Lizard) and the mythical "Ahuizotl" (Aquatic Creature)
materializes, blending seamlessly with the flora of "Xochitl" (Flower) and
"Nopalli" (Prickly Pear Cactus). These faded canvases evoke a sense of mystery, capturing the elusive spirits that reside within the natural world.

The choice of faded tones is intentional, allowing the spirits to emerge subtly, as if echoing ancient whispers. The series seeks to bridge the gap between the tangible and the mystical, inviting contemplation on the interconnectedness of nature and spirituality.
