Artist's description:

A single bare winter birch tree, and falling snow. This picture is made in a light simple colour palette of pastel blues, browns and orangey-yellows.

The birch tree both realistic and stylised. The tips of the branches are orange and gold, bringing warmth and brightness into the wintery scene. The trunk is expressively painted to create the beautiful texture of birch bark. After painting the tree I then "cut it out" and laid it on a simplistic sky and snow background, to emphasise the lace-like net of the tree's branches.

I painted this in Corel Painter, on the computer. I decided to paint it digitally to allow me to cut out the delicate tree structure.

This is a limited edition giclee print. The edition is limited to 50. The prints are hand signed, with the edition number.

I have tried to choose images of the print that accurately reflect the appearance and colours of the artwork. However, colours may appear differently on different computer screens and in different lighting. If you wished to return the print, because the colours were not as you are expecting or for any other reason, this would be covered under the normal returns policies.

This print can also be sold framed and ready to hang, in a square white frame. Please send me a message if you're interested in buying it ready framed.
