Original artwork description:

This is the portrait of the King Louis XVI of France. It is part of a diptych (the 2nd artwork, same-sized, will be the portrait of Marie Antoinette).

Both artworks will have a very tongue in cheek attitude, and will be related in an ironic way, through a contemporary, amusing, decorative, as well as dramatic treatment.

The way they are approached gives an instant reference to the nowadays art, in contrast to the 18th century subject.

- the exact size is 155 x 100.5 cm / 61 x 39.5 inches.
- I applied to it more isolating layers of glossy final varnish.
- it has about 10 cm (3.9 inches) extra white margin on the edges, in order to be stretched on wooden frame/chassis later on.

It will be shipped rolled, in a hard tube. I recommend taking the artwork to a professional framer, in order to have it re-stretched.
