Artwork description:

This photograph recreates Edgar Alan Poe’s short story The Pit and The Pendulum, though I’ve taken certain liberties in it’s representation. A pendulum hangs ominously over an open pit in the center of a room where four smoking kettles stand guard in the corners.

This photo is part of my series titled Misbegotten Places. I create imaginary places by making small dioramas which are in turn built from photographs that I have taken in my travels. Creative lighting, camera angles and composition render these images almost lifelike. Yet there is always something misbegotten.
This edition is limited to 9.

The image is 22”x30” plus a 1” white border. They are printed on Moab luster archival paper for a beautiful, rich look and are signed, numbered and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Mattes and frames not included. The utmost care is taken in packaging and shipping the prints to you so that they arrive in perfect condition.

If you are interested in one of these sizes please contact the studio directly to discuss. We will then make it available for sale on this site.
