Original artwork description:

I had a blank canvas on the wall and couldn't really think of where to go with it, which is unusual for me. And then I realised that the reason I was distracted was because I was thinking about a video interview I needed to make for an upcoming show in Taiwan. It sort of didn't make sense for me to be talking about the paintings, because the whole point of the paintings is that I'm rubbish at talking so I paint the words instead. So I painted a painting about talking about paintings, which was completely obvious, but took me a while to work out!

SO THEY ASKED ME
TO TALK ABOUT THE PAINTINGS
BUT I COULDN'T
IN A WAY THAT WOULD DEFEAT THE OBJECT
THE REASON BEHIND THE PAINTINGS
IS THAT I CAN'T TALK
SO I PAINT MY WORDS INSTEAD
