Artist's description:

Gerberoy's half-timbered and flint houses attracted artists like Henri le Sidaner who painted many scenes from this quaint village.

This original oil painting captures a view from my particular visit to this beautiful timeless village, where one can discover Italian gardens and visit the rose festival which has been held yearly for the past 90 years.

The painting measures 41cm by 22cm (16in by 8.6in) on unstretched duck cotton canvas, with an overlap of about 1cm (0.4in) so that it might be stretched and attached to a board before framing.
The painting has been left for a suitable period of time to dry, and has been varnished.

Materials used:

duck cotton canvas, oil paints

18th century French country cottage, Gerberoy France (2016)
