Artworks by Daria Antonenko

I have a formal background in art and graduated with distinction from the Moscow Stroganov Academy of Design and Applied Arts, specialising in Graphic Arts. I am a practicing artist with an exhibition history, and I also work professionally as an illustrator.

Although illustration remains an important part of my practice, today I increasingly focus on developing my own voice as an artist through painting and other forms of fine art. I am particularly interested in the process of creating work that exists independently of a brief — work that comes from my own observations, ideas and emotional responses.

For me, making art is a way of exploring and understanding the world, as well as creating a space for personal expression. I value the balance between a strong academic foundation and the freedom to experiment and develop my own visual language.

I want to sell my work on Artfinder because I would like my paintings to find their way into real homes and into the lives of people who connect with them. At the same time, selling my work allows me to sustain my artistic practice and continue dedicating time and resources to creating new pieces. I see Artfinder as a way to build a direct relationship with an audience that genuinely appreciates original art, while continuing to grow as an independent artist.
