"Nude Behind Shower Glass, 2016" by Ellen Von Wiegand

“I'm fascinated by the endlessly malleable curves and lines of the human body. I'm particularly attracted to portraying the nude in block print for the way that the curvature of the figure contrasts with the rigidity of the material. In this two block print a blue nude is partially concealed by the fogged glass of a shower. This way she is both revealed and meanwhile kept at a distance by the surface that lays between the figure and the viewer.”

In an attempt to mirror the process of erosion paint been applied impasto with a palette knife, scratched off and re-applied giving the painting its unique texture and depth.”

""Elixir", 2016" by Mo Tuncay

“Passion makes the old medicine new: Passion lops off the bough of weariness. Passion is the elixir that renews: how can there be weariness when passion is present? Oh, don't sigh heavily from fatigue: seek passion, seek passion, seek passion!”

""Afternoon Delight", 2015" by Preston M. Smith (PMS)

“Like the popular song of the same title, this piece shouts with a playful whimsy. Upon closer inspection, there is an underlying depth and emotion that holds the viewer's attention. It is a wonderfully bright and energetic painting that lights up the room. As one of my closest friends said with a sparkle in his eye while viewing it, "I see my whole life weaving before me!"”

"Beautiful Day, 2016" by Monique Robben- Andy Sheppard

“Although my paintings always represent the sea and/or the clouds, the outcome is never sure. The painting itself dictates how it's gonna look like and it is changing constantly during this process. Working with a more abstract style gives me more freedom when it comes to expressing the atmosphere. "Beautiful Day" is an example of such a process.”
