"Indian River Sunrise 4, 2016" by Adam S. Boarman

“See the sunrise over her skin Don't change it. See the sunrise over her skin Dawn changes everything, everything. And the moving sun Burns bright and violent. KSC and the rockets burn bright It's changing. Count tick down Another flight We're changing everything. See the poison now in her stream. Let's change it More than some forgotten dream. To give everything.”

"Kaos - Original abstract painting, oil on canvas, 2014" by Davide De Palma

“"Kaos", the chaotic and bizarre rules that govern this world. Rules that we are not able to know. Chaos is the same that is in each of us, mysterious forces that govern our lives and our choices.”

"THE TRIADS, 2016" by Marina Kim

“Looking through a book about ancient civilisations - Mesopotamia, Egypt, Ancient Crete, Celts - one of the fascinating characters them captured my imagination: the Triad - three spirals, merging into a single movement. This sign is used in jewelry, secret signs of all tribes and peoples of the world, an ancient symbol that is repeated in all corners of the Earth in different nations.”

"Flowering Tree, 2016" by Ricardo Griera Trueba

“This tree caught my attention because it was still flourishing, while others had already transmuted into the next season. The tree had amazing reddish leaves that push the old and yellow ones to the ground. I sat down and gazed at it for a long time before noticing in the sky that a storm was approaching.”

"Yin and Yang III, 2016" by Terri Deskins

“I absolutely love raku-fired pottery. Since I don’t own a kiln, nor am I a pottery artist, trying to capture the essence of them in a painting was my goal. I used asphaltum and bronze colored acrylic paint only, mixing them to achieve a very earth-rich color and feeling.”

"With the Current, 2016" by Abi Whitlock

“Water and the way it abstracts and distorts images has always fascinated me. In this painting it is almost as if the water itself is carrying the swimmer away; merging itself with her so the water and the swimmer become one entity. This almost mirrors the sensations one feels when submerged. Totally alone, merged with the underwater world.”

"Koi in the Sky, 2016" by Olga Beliaeva Watercolour

“The style of this watercolor is similar to Japanese, with the transparency of watercolors giving this work elegance and sophistication. Once I admired koi that were swimming in a quiet pond. The reflection of clouds on the surface of the pond created the sense that the fish were swimming in the sky, diving into the clouds. In Japanese, koi is a homophone for "affection" or "love"; therefore the fish itself has come to represent these concepts. It is regarded as the "divine fish", associated with heavenly matters and spreading happiness and prosperity wherever it swims.”

"Transcendence" by Sandi J. Ludescher

“This is the last of my recent waterlily series. As I was finishing this oil painting, a thought flashed through my mind - an epiphany - "Ah, this is what I wanted to say about this pond..and now it is done." This piece is about light. And, to me, there is a spiritual, meditative aspect to it.”

"Elise, 2016" by Juliette Belmonte

“This is one of a series of portraits painted almost entirely from the imagination. The process was about trying to create a portrait from nothing that in the end embodied it's own character and personality. The portraits are named when they are finished and I feel like I've gotten to know the subject throughout the process of it's creation. In this case, "Elise" seemed just right.”

"Flow 21, 2016" by Nicole Hewat

“Working with water and pigment allows magic to happen. The process is often why artists keep going and this process has a lot to do with motion and energy. The end result is a record of this magical and often challenging process. For me personally, these paintings are records of the energy and creativity I'm pouring into the healing process. Trying to conceive a child can be an emotional journey with disappointments and pain. Turning to positive light energy in the form of flowing colour can help mentally vanquish the not so fun experiences.”
