"Who's the Fairest..., 2017" by KKahy

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? This is a very special and unique piece. This brilliant flower is hand painted using the finest oil paints on a Vintage Silver mirror. The mirror is then resin coated. The flower petals glisten over the mirror as the silver iridescent glow peeks through the soft petals, truly bringing this artwork to life! This is a very unique and one of a kind artwork. A true statement piece!

"The Other Pearl Necklace, 2017" by Lynn Hughes

This is the second in my series of paintings inspired by one of my favorite painters, Gustav Klimt. The patterns, shapes and motifs in this piece seem to dance across the canvas and radiate with vibrant colors and luminosity. The delicate application of gold leaf adds to the glow and changes intensity depending on the lighting.

"Fulton County, 2017" by kellie mele

Running long distances at times places me in a meditative state. I pass the same landscape each day, but everyday I see something new. About halfway through my run on this particular day, I was struck by the immense clouds which were fluffy white with a hint of an oncoming storm. I came home to my studio and got to work. The dreamlike rolling hills of western Pennsylvania serve as daily inspiration and motivation, to run as well as paint!

"Untitled #574, 2017" by Rich Ray Art

This technique I developed has taken several years to master. Many hours of trial and error, hundreds of mistakes, some happy and some not so much! My process involves three stages. First, I paint the abstract artwork. Second, I photograph that artwork and other textures from nature. Third, I choose the portrait or female figure photograph. I download all of the different layers into to the photo editor program. This new technology enables me to play with all the elements together. I spend many hours moving and arranging each layer, it is like a puzzle. I know it is finished when I have achieved the right balance. Meaning, the brightest colors, visual textures, and contrast for the final printed original artwork. My hope is that people view my art as a vehicle for their own emotions to roam freely. The vulnerability of the person pictured in the artwork allows us to be vulnerable. Therefore, identifying with each piece in there own unique way. Each piece of art is crafted with layers of different textures and mediums. This process has been the focus of my work for the past three years. It involves acrylic painting, design, photography, inks, oil sticks and pastels. The final art work is designed in a photo editor program. This technology gives me creative freedom to add in my abstract paintings and photography.

""Slice And Dice", 2017" by Preston M. Smith (PMS)

This is a completely unique and original abstract oil painting on canvas. This painting epitomizes a technique and aesthetic I have been working to perfect over the years. The colors are vibrant and alive and the texture is highly tactile and almost edible. This piece is an exercise in soft and textured painting techniques that I have been developing. There are almost "ghosts" of shapes and a fading background, juxtaposed with thick violent texture on the surface that jumps out at the viewer. Shapes and shards of color shatter all over the painting and lead the eye over the canvas. There is a three dimensional effect of the canvas being "sliced" with color and depth. This piece is truly alive and energetic and is vibrant and interesting to look at from any angle. It is a PMS original oil painting like no other.

"Just Passing By, 2017" by Jenny Wilson

Bleak, still, grey, horizon only just visible in Autumn mist and then I hear the sound as they fly over. The powerful, triumphant, beautiful and moving sound of them flying over – just passing by. I wonder about their journey – where have they come from, where are they going. I wish them luck. I wish they would land but they are just passing by… Nearly all my work is inspired by the ever changing colours through the passing of the seasons in the local landscape along roads I travel every day. I never aim to copy but simply to capture feelings and light without focusing on details. All my paintings are done by pallet knife using oil paint, mainly on canvas. I tend to be drawn by the dramatic colours created by angry, grey skies but also by the beautiful, captivating colour transformation the evening light bless us with.
