    Returned from my travels and excited to be back in the studio to develop my sea studies and sketches 🌊 This is a genre I am very drawn to and will be developing a new collection of works on this theme. Here's a seascape inspired from childhood memories of the North Norfolk coastline.

    I love painting the sea! I have made so many painting studies and yet it presents me with a new challenge every time. Whilst I have been away at Easter I have been doing new studies seeking to capture the light dancing on the surface as late afternoon turns to sundown. Watching the colours soften and glow πŸ’œ

    Working at the easel...

    I love my studio - it's my own space where I can be creative. I'm not one for clutter as I like to have space around me when I am working at the easel - painting with a palette knife with gestural strokes, building layers and texture in my paintings.

    Being mad about colour I love my red chair and my old European pine table which used to be our kitchen table until we needed a larger one! This is where I like to work on my Sue's Originals collection of ink and watercolour paintings.
