    A peaceful time at the end of the day

    Taking in the sunshine as it drops lower and forms a sunset.I had just been on a countryside walk called the Beckford trail -Tisbury to Beckford and I had to film my inspiration at the end of the walk through the rose hip avenue. I will name one of my next Watercolours “Rose hip Avenue”.

    The Sutton Mandeville valley in Wiltshire.

    A beautiful place,a new discovery for me and the walk from Chicksgrove lead me down into the Sutton Mandeville valley where it’s sheltered,green and fertile. Has a dark woodland with the bright light behind called Common hill wood which I painted in watercolour recently. I will keep observing this area throughout the seasons.

    I am so inspired by this new discovery.An area I have never walked but not far from North Dorset where I live. It was a very windy day and cold with beautiful sunshine and clarity of light.I loved how these trees gave off there magnificent shadows in a row - I’m sure I will paint this at some point.

    It’s a wonderful place to walk around and be with nature.This particular day I was back,it had been awhile and I sure had missed it.Its very special here and I spent many times with the boys here growing up and Narla my yellow Labrador used to love it.
