Making it happen in the Art Garden Studio

It takes a lot of creativity to make it happen and thought. My mother and I have spent a long time creating new paintings and curating them for the Autumn exhibition. Newly framed watercolours and acrylics all about Mother Earth and the light.

The colours on my mixing plate

The colours on my mixing plate

I love Oak trees and this beauty was inspired by the Old oaks at King Stag in the idyllic countryside of North Dorset. I used a three colour technique and wanted to capture as it was a hot Summers day in late August 2025 and I saw it in a ploughed field with dried golden grasses around it. Painted after the experience of seeing it in the Art Garden Studio.

Heritage coastline of North Devon early Summer 2025

I had an amazing holiday walking the Heritage coastline of North Devon this Summer. Taking in atmospheric and dramatic scenery. An area I will go back to next year on my art journey through nature.

    Milllook summer meadow, North Cornwall

I discover on my art journey on holiday in August a beautiful wild grasses and flower meadow. Tucked away in an old woodland not far from the North Cornwall coast. Gaining inspiration in nature,

    Sunset hour in North Cornwall

I am taking in the Cornish sunset in early August. With its amber and gold light with silver clouds. The Jacobstow landscape and woodland, hedgerows that are full of nature. Seeking inspiration for new watercolours.

Wincombe park in North Dorset and Wiltshire

Taking a walk with my little doggy called Buster in high summer. I see some very inspiring skies with the muted woodland in the background with the grass and wildflowers in the foreground, which I am working up to a watercolour.

Grasslands of Wincombe park, Shaftesbury North Dorset

A local landscape where I walk daily in the wild meadows on the border of North Dorset into Wiltshire. The sky was inspiring late afternoon and the golden, bronze and copper long grasses were so beautiful in the fresh wind.

The grassland of Swanage, Dorset coast

I came across a scene that has inspired me to paint it as I was walking along to Peverill point along the South west coast path. There are many beautiful grasses on the hillside with butterflies and looking up to the blue sky, with a pathway through the middle.
