    I am very pleased to have had my painting 'Summer Remembered ' selected for exhibition as part of the Light into Dark' exhibition at the Gallery Grounds in Southampton. This exhibition spans a time of powerful symbolism: from the solemn reflection of Remembrance in November, to the warmth, wonder, and togetherness of Christmas and the turning of the year.

    I am very pleased to have my painting 'Breath of Autumn III' exhibited as part of the 'Tones of Fall 'exhibition at Gallery Grounds in Southampton. This exhibition focuses on the visual and emotional palette of autumn — its shifting colours, textures, and tones. The artworks have been selected to reflect the transformation of the season through colour, light, and atmosphere, as well as exploring its deeper themes: transition, quietness, memory, and natural beauty.

    Relisting paintings

    Relisting paintings

    Have been spending a lot time in my studio lately re-photographing a number of works to comply with Artfinder's recent requirements regarding listing lately. This does have the benefit of forcing me take a closer look at reviewing the paintings and their quality and worth. I am thinking that I am preferring the earlier paintings with a looser style that I seem to have unconsciously moved away from....Possibly time to try to go back to this! Missing my previous stream of buyers from America..... probably due to Trumps tariffs I guess?

    Safari Inspiration

    Safari Inspiration

    This year has been a real bumper year for travelling. Have saved in anticipation of this event for some years and we had a fabulous family safari this June in Kenya and Tanzania. So many great memories and Images...mostly of wildlife, but did also photograph some fabulous landscapes, coastal views sunrises and sun sets. No time to set up an easel unfortunately but the images will keep me inspired for a while.

Thinking that I might create a painting inspired by each of the regions that I visited. I particularly loved Calabria.

    I am collating my three paintings for wall hanging and 6 portfolio paintings for this year's show next weekend. The private view is on Friday 5th April with the show running 26-27th. The private view is ticket access and is always popular. Contact the show for a ticket. This year I have taken an Exbury Gardens theme for my three wall mounted paintings for exhibition and sale.

    I have enjoyed tackling a painting this week inspired by my trip to Sicily this past February. Piazza Armerina is a spectacular hill town nearby to the equally spectacular remains of the Roman Villa -Villa Romana Del Casale.

    Big and Bright

    Dispatching two large paintings within 4 days is something to celebrate! My big and bright painting 'Orange I ' was dispatched today to Lincolnshire ( no forms to fill in this time ! ) where I hope it brightens up a nice wall!
