I would define my painting as realistic and figurative.

Although I do not consider myself as pure hype-realistic, I cannot deny that my work involves a large dose of realism. Figurative because most of what I paint are people; celebrities or anonymous in small or large groups.

An important feature of my current painting is the absence of colour. I have turned from colour to monochrome painting over the last few years. I pay special attention to light and shadows in empty backgrounds to underline the people. At the moment, I work in a serie of group of people that I define as “human landscapes”. I try to capture everyday scenes in a landscape format.
