    'Metropolis' - Mural

'Metropolis' - Here's my finished mural from Hazy Days Music & Arts Festival in Western Super Mare, an amazing event, amazing organization and lovely place by the sea! I love being able to paint my more fantasy style illustations on walls, and this future geisha assasin, looking out over the future Tokyo metropolis was an image i have had for a while and was waiting for the right wall and time to paint it! The geisha is based on my shoots with Ayumi LaNoire. The wall was all freehand spray paint, as usual! No projections or tracing, or stencils, just pure freehand! Feel free to share

Love doing these early morning speed paints, to loosen me up creatively for the day! All are painted freehand, and not traced, or photo manipulation, essentially they are speed observational drawing!

    Art In Motion!

    Art In Motion!

Really excited to finally show the project I have been working on with global art courier, Flight Logistics over the past 6 months. They specialise in handling collection, packing, insurance and delivery of exhibition material and artwork for galleries and individual artists within the UK and overseas. The company’s art client base has evolved from pure Street and Urban art roots ten years ago to now include some of the most iconic and (in)famous artists, galleries, curators, auction houses and it's how all my original art is shipped! My art is all about travel, and portraying the beauty of different cities around the world, so it's in keeping with the ideas of global art! Each vehicle represents a different city, London, Tokyo and Hong Kong, with three more city vans for release later this year!

'London Rush' - Huge street piece / Brick Lane London

London Rush' - My latest large scale street piece, this time on Hanbury Street, just off Brick Lane! It's a huge rainy, city, in rush hour, in my Liquid Lights series of works. Freehand spray paint, with emulsion, rollers for the upper city areas, all sketched freehand no projectors or stencils! :) This was a relatively quick paint considering the walls size, around 1.5 days to paint, surprised myself how quickly it came together! Anyway big thanks to Bricklane1 for organising the spot.

    East London / Curtain Road

    East London / Curtain Road

'Butterfly' East London - so I painted this small wall today in East London, Curtain Road. I wanted to paint one of my recent geisha paintings that I exhibited at my solo show. I loved the frenzied, undefined and painterly feel and wanted to convey this onto a wall. Mixed media in this piece, but if cheeky markers thrown in for details, overall happy with it.

'Light Dance' - Dos Torres, Southern Spain

'Light Dance' - Dos Torres, Southern Spain

'Lights Dance - Dos Torres / Spain' - So here's the main part of my latest mural commission in a fantastic private villa in Dos Torres, Southern Spain. The idea was to have an energetic, colourful and vibrant, impressionistic London city scene, full of colour and movement and rain! I had a superb time painting this, in a quiet and beautiful village in the heart of rural Spain, such great and friendly people. The mural spans the entire upstairs wall, with a greta range of surfaces, original stone pillars, stone floor, with some super modern elements to be added in making it a very cool, modern / traditional villa! The mural then leads downstairs through a large open stairwell, which i also painted on. This picture represents just half of the entire mural, the rest will be shown soon!

'Global Painter' - Hand painted lugguage

'Global Painter' - Hand painted lugguage

In recent years I have been fortunate to travel an awful lot and one thing has always bothered me, the boring, bland, grey or black luggage that people use, every time i collect my luggage I think, i am going to paint mine for my next trip! So as I am off to SOuthern Spain for a commission next week, i thought i'd paint my case, and now have started the ball rolling, so i am painting several pieces for customers, hand luggage and main luggage with different cities on! NYC, Tokyo and London pictured here! :)

'Silence' - Original painting on canvas

'Silence' - Original painting on canvas

'Silence' - Acrylic and spray paint on deep edged box canvas - Box framed - Currently on show 5th Base Gallery at my solo show 'Queen Of Neon' which runs until April 6th This in one of my new works on canvas and a different series of works, taking the Geisha imagery with the traditional ideas of being brightly lit, bold, colourful and bright, and focusing more on the emotions and mood of the subject. With a look back to traditional oil painting, the subject emerges from the darkness, heavy shadows creating deep canyons of blackness, the folds of the Kimono, like mountain peaks. Abstract shapes picked out by the spot light reveal her face, the stillness and silence of the piece, she's lost in thought, the performance has ended, the lights have gone off, all is silent
