Original artwork description:

"I was sent to prison because the President of our country desperately wants to stay in power as long as possible. Being one of the leaders of the political opposition, I tried to fight against corruption, protect human rights, and stand for election. But recently, our President began to exercise severe political repressions, initiating criminal prosecutions against us, banning political parties, labeling us extremists. Only today, I found out what actually happened to our authoritarian leader. A month ago, the dog, the favorite pet of the President, died. That's why I'm in prison, and the political sentiment in our country has inevitably changed."

The study "Political dissident (political protest art)" is painted from life with watercolour on cotton paper.
