  I painted this one for a solo show in 2015. I was digging on the new colors of ink I had just bought and wanted to do a piece that expressed not only the joy of new art supplies (HA!), but also the joy of summer and depicting it in bright, bold hues. When I paint, it's a lot about how I feel at the moment. I'm putting my emotions down on canvas - abstract expressionist style.
  
  I love the colors in this one! I used a lot of lacquer with the ink and paint so it has a shiny, slick surface. The pink in this one is called 'raspberry' and it is out of this world! Very bright and saturated.
