Do you ever slow down and notice the the mundane things of life?

There’s great beauty and peace to be found when we are able to block out the noise of the world and see that the ordinary can be extraordinary. I spend much of my time noticing, and this painting is reflective of that observation, vibrant colour, lively marks and chunks of colour celebrate the humble yellow pepper.

A moment in time captured, shortly before this became part of a very nice stir fry :)

Original small Oil painting of a yellow pepper painted onto 4mm canvas board 12.5cm x17.5cm using professional quality oil paints, unframed. Finished with a soft sheen Gamvar Varnish.
