Walking along the coast in early evening and looking out by moored -up small fishing boats out across the sea at the vast expanse of Morecambe Bay. It is a beautiful area with the fells and mountains of the Lake District surrounding. And it is possible to walk out onto the sands - but with quicksands all round and a very fast tide coming in from the Bay it makes it extremely treacherous to do anything other than stay by the edges at this point.
This painting is complete with a beautifully handmade double and chunky frame - hand-painted with white clay paint sanded back to provide the rustic finish. Signed by me on the front and the reverse this painting is stringed and ready to hang.
