I just adore sheep, their beautiful eyes, and their gentle nature, that they also give wool, and lets not forget excellent chops (sorry;o) just makes them perfect! This print is a homage to all sheep.
Woolly Hats is a drypoint, that is, with a sharp stylus, I have scratched my drawing into an aluminium plate, that I then ink up and print. Drypoint means that the edition is very small, as the plate deteriorates very quickly, and I'll be lucky to get 30 prints, the size of the edition.
For each and every print, the plate has to be inked, so please note that variations do occur because of this, and I hope you will treasure them as part of your original print!
I print with best quality inks and paper to ensure a long life for your print, hoping your drypoint will maybe pass down generations!
I have printed my woolly hat owners, on a piece of warm cream Hahnemuehle printmaking paper that measures 46cm x 28cm (18" x 11")
with the actual image measuring 40cm x 21 cm (16" x 8")
I have signed, titled and numbered the print. Please note you might not receive the number in the photo.
I ship from my studio in Denmark, wrapping your print in tissue paper and a cellophane sleeve, so it arrives safely! Just say and I can gift wrap?
Thanks so much for visiting! Welcome back!
