Original artwork description:

Wish I were a bee is a painting full of energy. It refers to floral structures in the middle of full bloom. Its pasrt of the "Spring will come!" series, created during the darkest hours of the pandemiv winter 2020/2021. Smidt's works embody liveliness and movement - their lucid beauty deliberately creates a joyful contrast to the brittle harshness of contemporary culture.

Liquid light painting is a unique flow technique developed by the artist herself, which arises from a combination of inks and pastes. In this way the artist creates unique color gradients and light effects - the movements of the work process, the erosion and drying processes become a comprehensible topography of creative work through the transparency of the colors.
The special dynamism of the work is retained and continues into the present of the observation.

Materials used:

ink, pastel, pencil
