Original artwork description:

The bell rang and Mr Rogers skipped lithely down the stairs to open the door. Outside stood a very tall man with no hair, dressed in a long black coat.

"I'm very sorry, we don't actually open till eleven -"

"I saw the advertisement in the window. For a butler." The man spoke slowly, deliberately, in a very deep voice with a hint of a northern accent. "I am here to apply for the position."

"Oh! Oh yes of course. Well in that case, do come in. And your name is?"

"Wilkinson, sir."

Excellent, Mr Rogers thought to himself. He might resemble an undertaker, but he sounds like a butler already. I'll do the Earl Grey test, and if he passes, he's got the job.

This portrait is part of my '100 heads' series: 100 small figurative sculptures of curious characters from my imagination.
