Marble is an amazing millions of years old type of rock, its natural glamour come mainly from its metamorphosis from limestone. The sedimentary type of rock - the limestone - in millions of years process crystalizes under heat and chemical processes and turns into marble. This long and beautiful transformation in nature is like the caterpillar turning into a beautiful butterfly. So does marble. The artist concept is to carve into solid marble rock an organic image of snowdrop flower and display it gently on a beautiful gabbro stone stand, creating a light, airy and graphically minimalistic image of white flower and elegant floral form.
