An handmade copper frame with a water colour painting of bits of broken pottery which I have found on the beach at Whitby, North Yorkshire.
Whitby is one of my favourite places to visit. As a family we have collected many bits of broken pottery which as been washed up on the beach. I often try to imagine where the piece of pottery came from. What it was used for and what it was like as an whole piece before it was thrown away. It is treasure to me and a real thrill to turn a white piece of pottery over and discover it as a beautiful pattern on the other side.
The back of the frame as cornflower blue felt and a small ring for hanging.
