This painting is also one of the first paintings I made this year. It is part of the landscape collection and part of a series of paintings about Lake Weißensee, my current residence in Berlin. For the past 2 years, I stayed at home most of the time and had very few opportunities to see the lake, even though it is only 2 blocks from my house. Therefore, this year is a special year when I can finally walk around the lake and make this painting.
