Just sold ! Please enquired if you'd like an artwork from the same series of images of the Thames . This is a mixed media artwork using photography and painting together ( instead of using computer gadgetry ) to produce a unique peice of art.
Haunting image of the river Thames from Erith near dartford. Whilst taking photographs by the river, the sun was going down and the view was breath taking in an area most people would just write off. This is a very industrial urban scape but I guess there is beauty to be found in everything if you look hard enough. I took this Photograph, transferred it on to silver metal leaf on canvas by hand then hand painted with many washes of acrylic.. This is not manipullaed on a computer. 2 coats of uv varnish to prevent any fading . The result is a shimmering landscape.
