Original artwork description:

Continuing with my wall series, 'Wall Series 5' celebrates Pride Month around the world. Named after the Stonewall Inn in NYC in July 1969, these works are meant to be a reminder of the uprising and the Gay Pride marches that take place every year to mark the anniversary of the event.

I have used the new pride flag colours adopted in 2021 being the original rainbow colours plus black, brown, pink and turquoise. These colours have been used on a rotational basis on a series of eight walls. The wall is used here as a metaphor for the struggles many have had to conquer to get where they are now and going forward into the future. I hope you enjoy them.

This series is constructed with colourfast paper mounted on a panel. It is framed in an oak veneer wooden frame with UV acrylic glazing with hooks and strings supplied for hanging.
