A richly coloured, bold, oil landscape painting of the view across Rutland Water from the upper windows of Hambleton Hall.

The deep green trees are casting glossy shadows across the fields that skirt the lake. Beyond, the Rutland countryside stretches into the distance. The bright sunshine is filtering through the light clouds, saturating the yellows, greens and blues in the landscape.

Created using Michael Harding Artist Oil Colours and palette knife, this painting reminds us of warm summer days.
