Original artwork description:

Via Margutta is a beautiful street in the historic center of Rome, also known as the artists' street. There are many art galleries, and two or three times a year there is a painting exhibition here: myself and 100+ other artists display our works directly in the street.

This painting was made specifically for a contest in which the selected artists were asked to investigate the relationship between humans and urban space in the post-pandemic phase.

I couldn't help but draw inspiration from the last exhibition in via margutta (october 2022): the street was again bustling and full of people, the relationship between the long straight street, the people, and the changing light over the course of the day was as artistic as I could imagine.

The work finally was chosen among the finalists and participated in a beautiful exhibition in Turin.

Oil on canvas (with final protective varnish), 60 x 40 x 5 cm. It has a black wooden frame (62,7 x 42,5 x 5,5 cm). Signed on the back and certificate of authenticity.

Materials used:

oil, canvas, wooden frame
