Since my childhood Venice has been a dream destination for me. Both from my father tales and visitor stories I have been creating my own imagination and pictures of Venice. My first opportunity came up in early 2001 when I received a chance to practice in Venice "Academia d'Arte" Art Academy. Spending over 7 months in Italy, I had a chance to see and learn so much about cultural heritage of Italy. I traveled a lot to Rome, Florence and many other small cities, however, Venice remains a fairy city of romance and the beautiful of all in world cities. Depicting Venice is a great pleasure for me, maybe I am more obsessed with marine painting and sea images than regular landscapes.
Gondoliers are inseparable part of Venice life, and probably one of its historical and traditional symbols. I hope the painting clearly depicts the harmony they fill Venice Cityscapes.
