Original artwork description:

This abstract painting/collage was inspired by arangements of objects from my found object collection. The painting is both analytical and intuitive observing arangements of objects from multiple viewpoints in varying light. The use of Gesso and structure paste combined with old newspaper, paper cut outs and acrylic paint has created terrific contrast of texture on the surface of the canvas .
I like to explore relationships between colours, surfaces, forms and textures. My work is intuitive, instinctive and exploritary. Rather than mirroring the landscape or a still life my aim is to capture the essence of the subject and the experience that it leaves me with.

Materials used:

Gesso, Acrylic, Chalk, Pastel and Paper on Canvas
