This is an original oil painting on a 50 x 70 cm linen canvas painted in Transylvania in a painting camp. I rarely let myself be influenced by anyone regarding a painting and I went to the camp with the idea of painting nothing else but abstract paintings. But painting this painting I had a lovely girl as a viewer who looked at every move of mine during the creation and she told me that this is the city where we were born. This is the tower of Satu-Mare, and this is the river, called Szamos. I told her that it was not my intention to paint it, but she kept on talking to me that this is it, so I finally let her see what she wanted to see and I built the bridge over the river Szamos so it finally became the abstract version of Satu-Mare (hungarian name is Szatmárnémeti, where I was born). I am happy with the outcome and the girl, called Iza is also happy that I let myself be influenced. This is the beauty of a painting camp where you can't hide, you can't do what you want, you are influenced by others and you also influence others. I already miss my lovely artist friends from Transylvania, but I'm happy I could spend a week with them.
The painting is painted with brush and palette knife also which gives the painting a dinamism. The horizon and the sky part is also quite textured.
The edges of the canvas are painted so it can be hanged with or without a frame as preferred.
I ship my paintings with FedEx express service which means they arrive in 1-3 days to any destination worldwide.
Thanks for looking!
