Original artwork description:
Not quite black & white. I found myself doing a much more detailed piece than usual. The subtle colour changes & complex forms seemed to make it necessary, moving from mauves & blues for shadows, through to pinks, oranges & yellows, and white.
Note on scale- this work is 55x75cm, so the roses are quite a bit bigger than life size.
